Have actually been taking a fair amount of pictures this past month.... just been lazy about getting stuff up here and on other sites.

Did go to Mission Hills area of San Diego on Friday night, and walked Newport Pier on Saturday. Check the “best of” out on the links to flickr....

......Huntington, that is.....went down to HB, but the weather was tough, so I spent most of the time holed up at Gallagher’s Tavern. Shots from the day up on flickr here.

Ended up down at the Santa Ana Gallery Walk with good friends, and the shot of Cara came out exceptionally well. It’s up in the Showcase.

We’re 4 or 5 days into “El Nino” and the storms have been coming serially. Went down to Newport Pier for lunch this Friday and was fortunate that there was a break in the weather. Pics of the afternoon up on flickr.

Returned once again to one of my favorite haunts - the Huntington Beach Pier area. Walked around, grabbed an early dinner & beer - pics from the day here on flickr.

On David’s recommendation, I went to a couple of Brea neighborhoods to take in their Christmas lighting. I put the photos up on flickr here.

A very good friend - Ms. Sasha Kane - is dealing with some significant personal health issues. She suggested I visit Knott’s Berry Farm this weekend - which I did....

Spent Black Friday afternoon walking the streets of Laguna Beach.... put a number of the day’s shots up on flickr.

Sunday afternoon I went over to the Newport Pier area for lunch and also got some photos from the day up on flickr as well.

Was asked to particpate in the Orange County Daily Photo website effort - bookmark it and visit it daily, as my fellow photogs are putting up some interesting captures.....

Spent this afternoon over at the new Muzeo Museum in Anaheim - an exhibit on the Treasures of Napoleon. Couldn't take pictures inside, but did take a number of external ones... here.

I have the honor of joining Suz Broughton's team of photographers at the Orange County Daily Photo website - I'm the Tuesday guy! Great bunch of people to be associated with....come see our work!

Bracketed the Labor Day holiday with an outing to the Orange Street Fair, and a Friday evening outing to Dana Point to watch the Tall Ships Parade. Best of the week's picks are up in the Showcase and in the Gallery.

Spent the last week in Chicago (biz) and Maine (vacation) and got a lot of picture-taking in. Flickr photostream of Chicago is here, and Maine is here.

Went down to San Clemente with David Moyle and spent the afternoon shooting down by the beach. Wound up back on my rooftop for the evening’s fireworks. Selected pictures are here on flickr.

Active weekend - Had a great time at the tweetup on Friday night with the Long Beach crowd at Stacy’s Bar & Grill. Pix are up here.

Saturday afternoon, David Moyle and I went to the West Hollywood Tweetup at the 8oz burger place in Melrose. Here’s the pics from that event.

Afterwards, we wound up at the Santa Monica Pier and did some shooting....

Went to the Long Beach Marina on Sunday - primarily to score some calamari at Gladstone’s - then on to some picture taking. Shots from the day are here on flickr.

Went on a hike on the Vulture Crags Santiago Trail yesterday with Joel Sax (@Emperor_Norton of Twitter). Great time. Photos here on flickr.

Today was the day of the 4am Project, a global photography event where people were urged to go out at 4am and photograph some aspect of the neighborhood we live in. Here are the pictures I took in the vicinity of the Honda Center, as well as the global stream on flickr.

Went down to the Huntington Beach Pier area again this weekend, and spent some time at Gallagher’s Pub. Published a couple of new images up into the Showcase as well. Enjoy!

OK, OK....so I haven’t been publishing a lot of new stuff HERE. But that doesn’t mean I haven’t been out & about taking pictures. Just not many caught my attention as being worthy of posting here. However, I did put a new shot up in the Showcase, a few on the People page, and have put a couple of new collections up on flickr - The Newport Beach Boat Parade and a recent trip to Huntington Beach.

Unfortunately, there has been some sad news in the world of photography - the folding of JPG - an interesting attempt to merge web and print magazine publishing. JPG will be missed by many......

Have been lax in getting some new work up on the website. Two new shots are now in the Showcase and the Gallery.

Was at Laguna Beach this week and grabbed a number of shots....here’s a few.....

Went to a photo meetup of the Orange County Fine Arts Society today at Santiago Park. Posted some of my shots to flickr.

Was down at Seal Beach on Saturday to both get some sun and some picture-taking in. Unfortunately, had a brain freeze, and forgot to take the camera off of auto-bracket mode. Resulted in a lot of lost shots, but I did manage to get a few worthy of posting on flickr. Take a look here.

After ten years in the area, I finally got around to visiting the Nixon Library in Yorba Linda. Photos from my visit are up on flickr.

Had the opportunity to spend some time reviewing and working on a number of images from recent shoots and have posted them to the gallery...hope you enjoy.

On the equipment front, the new 24-70mm Nikkor finally arrived and am having a blast with it! Will give it a workout this weekend as I intend to do a couple of trips during this Super Bowl hype weekend...
