Thinking of heading south on the Pacific Coast Highway on Saturday, starting around 10-11am to take some pictures along the coast. If anyone is interested in joining, please let me know.

Took the Nikon D300 out for the first time Saturday morning to get the hang of the new camera body. Quite a challenge trying to fiddle with all the controls when your fingers are totally numb! (Note to self: Buy a good pair of photo gloves ASAP!)

Didn't get many shots that warrant mentioning, but I am intrigued over the possibilities of doing some post-production work on the above shot.

Just added a calendar for events relating to QSGI: field trips, classes, etc. The calendar is located here.

Good news - got the 14-24mm Wide angle and my 70-300mm telephoto in, so can start shooting. Heading down to the beach on Saturday morning to shoot the sunrise (weather permitting)....

...but no lenses as of yet - may be able to pick up my 14-24mm one at the store this afternoon. If so, am hopeful of a non-rainy Saturday to go out and shoot. Have A LOT to learn about this baby.....
